Observation


Shankar Dev Tithi

‘Shankar Dev Tithi’ was observed on 29th of August in the school (for senior section only). The programme started by lighting of the lamp by The Principal with manglacharan. Significance of the day was told by one teacher. The other events were Borgeet, poem recitation, satriya dance and naam kirtan by some teachers. There was also an exhibition on books and traditional musical instruments of Assam.

Janmashtami

‘Janmashtami’ was observed in the school (for primary section only) in the first half of 19th August, 2022. Students of Nursery and KG participated in Krishna Competition where they acted as Krishna. After that there was the event of Matki phod (breaking pot) by them. One day before these was a pot decoration/ painting competition for the students of classes III-IV and story telling (class I and II). Some teachers also sang Krishna Bhajan during the programme.

Rakshabandhan

‘Rakshabandhan’ was observed in the school on 11th August, 2022 during the morning hours. The programme started by lighting of the lamp by Prakash sir together with manglacharan. Class X girls tied rakhee on the photo of Swamiji. After that, girls tied rakhees to their brother (classes X). They also tied rakhees to some teachers. Sweets were distributed to all children. Also there was a rakhee making competition among senior students VI-IX the previous day.

Fruit Day

On 8th July, 2022 ‘Fruits Day’ was observed in the school. Kids of nursery presented an action song on fruits. There was a competition for the students of classes KG and I where they acted as a fruit, and told some lines about a particular fruit.

Raksha Bandhan & Eknathji Punya Tithi

Raksha Bandhan and Ma. Eknathji Punya Tithi was observed on 22nd August 2021 in the school premises. All the students of class X were present on the occasion and the girls tied Rakhies to their brothers. Before that, they also offered rakhi to Swamiji’s photo and tied a rakhi to a plant. The Principal spoke on the punya Tithi of Ma. Eknathji. Some teachers and students together presented a song on Ma. Eknathji Ranade. Everybody offered flowers to Eknathji.

Ganesh Chaturthi

‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ was observed in the school on 12th September, 2018. Students sang Ganesh bhajans and prayed Lord Ganesha by doing ‘aarti’ and offering flowers. Significance of the day was mentioned by a student of class X.

International Yoga Day

‘International Yoga Day’ was observed in VKV, Suklai on 21st June, 2018 in the morning hours in school premises. The programme started by lighting of the lamp along with mangalacharan by the guest instructor Sri Ashim Pathak. Pathak is holding the position of Mahamantri (Yuva Bharti, Baksa District) Another guest was Subhadra Sitoula from Uparkhuti who demonstrated ‘yogasanas’. Pathak is also emphasised the importance of practicing yoga in our daily life. All the students of class VI onwards and teachers with some of the parents attended the programme and practiced yoga exercises/ asanas as guided. Moreover, one of our teacher also went to Uttar Betna High School in Mohoripara with one student of class IX who displayed yogasanas for the students of that school.

World Environment Day

'World Environment Day' was observed in VKV, Suklai on 5th June, 2018. The programme started by lighting of the lamp by the headmaster. Other programmes included speech by one teacher and a drama by some students.
There was an essay writing competition on 'Environment' for senior students and a drawing competition for juniors. Also some saplings were planted in the school garden.

Vidyarambha

'Varsharambha' was observed in VKV, Suklai on 2nd April, 2018 to mark the beginning of new academic session 2018-19. The programme started by lighting of the lamp along with mangalacharan. A guru bhajan was presented and significance of the day was told. All the teachers and new parents were present on the occasion. 24 new studentsKG) attended the programme where they wrote OM on rice, offered flowers to Goddess Saraswati and took Prasad. They did this with the help of their parents and teachers. Ideology & principles of Vivekananda Kendra and rules & regulation of the school was told to the parents.
